Haru looked on in horror as her friend Ryuji shrunk right infront of her down to the size of a toy in a matter of seconds. She knelt down quickly to inspect the boy, hoping that his reduced size was the only problem afflicting him. a brief examination put both the shrunken boy and the empress to ease but the intercom interrupted their moment of peace. soon the hallways would be flooded with other students and faculty members. Haru’s eyes widened at this realization as her mind raced a mile a minute to figure out what to do… though the panic may have skewed her thinking…
“Ryuji-kun…” she whispered as she quickly took the shrunken boy into her hand, using the other to slip off her left shoe.
“… Forgive me..”
She could hear the diminutive screams and pleas from her friend as she guided him towards the footwear. once he was safely held over, she dropped him inside.
The boy landed with a thud, having to sit up and cough to collect himself. Ryuji found himself in the bottom of Haru’s shoe, the opening at the top being the only source of light for the shrunken boy to look in further. Though this source of light wouldn’t last forever as something sent his little world into darkness. twisting around to get a good luck, the boy was greeted with the Empress’ massive Sole, headed straight towards him. Ryuji’s reflexes were top notch thanks to his outings as a phantom thief, but sadly the boy was much too small to get anywhere fast enough. Haru’s foot came down on him much too quickly for it to make a difference, as he found himself smushed against his friend’s sole.
Up top, Haru sighed heavily and stood up, the hallways filling up just as she did so. She calmly and carefully proceeded to her next class, making sure to take care on that left step
